<p>However, as nanotechnology is being studied on a greater scale worldwide, emerging ideas in IT, the food industry, robotics, manufacturing and transportation to name a few are being designed and tested<span id="more-8"></span> by corporate labs.  The fact that something can be created from what has been discovered to be the smallest particles, companies are racing to use nanotechnology to gain competitive advantage with innovative creations.</p>
<p>For example, optics is an area where nanotechnology is studied to a great extent.  Technological advancements in visual and audio electronics are always looking for the latest and greatest inventions while remaining cost effective and end-user friendly.</p>
